"I prefer melodic songs because I think melodies comprise the most touching notes running through the bottom of our hearts. For me, a beautiful melody is all about music. "
Sun Nan sprang onto the Mando-pop scene with the song "Red Flag" and then he gradually rose to fame after performing several theme songs for films and TV dramas, such as "Be There or Be Square" and Please Hurry Back to Me. Most of his classics highlight Sun Nan's piercing voice and wide vocal range, helping him to stand out among other ballad crooners.

"I try to bring all my potential into full play when I record each of my songs. At the time of recording I always feel we have done our best. But after finishing a song I move straight on to the next song. I don't like dwelling on which of my songs is the most memorable one because my focus is always on the next one. "
With his powerful voice and hard-working spirit, Sun Nan has established an undisputable position in showbiz as the top pop singer on the Chinese Mainland. His collaboration with Coco Lee, Forever Friends, is one of the most promising candidate theme songs for the 2008 Olympics.

"This song was written by Kong Xiangdong and Giorgio Moroder. Both are renowned musicians. The song is a good dedication song for the Beijing Olympics, because it blends perfect Chinese and western musical influences into one song. And I'm glad to have Coco Lee in this duet. We have known each other for years, although, this was the first time for us to sing together. With all these great partners, I think, Forever Friends indeed expresses the Olympic spirit through music."
