(German officer from the Condor Legion instructing Nationalist infantry soldiers, Ávila)
The Spanish Civil War was a civil war caused by political and social contradictions, and a tragedy for the whole mankind.
Bloody battles broke out between the left-wing "Republicans," who supported the legitimate republican government, and the right-wing "Nationalists," who supported conservatism and fascism. The war not only caused a large number of casualties and economic damage, but also made Spain an important, and arguably the first military contest between fascist and anti-fascist forces in Europe, which had a profound impact on the international situation on the eve of World War II.
At the same time, foreign intervention exacerbated the conflict: Nazi Germany and fascist Italy provided weapons and troops to the Nationalists, while the Soviet Union assisted the Republicans and also sent advisers. In this DIY, I will use 16 German cards, 6 Soviet cards, and 10 Italian cards to describe foreign intervention in the Spanish Civil War. If you like it, please leave a comment to show your support.
