Hi Blackbeen,
Thanks for writing in. We understand the frustration you’re feeling about the update to Consume and the Tier-increase system. Keep in mind that having a high-tier hero before the update helped you succeed then and is still key to success after it.
Even if a player takes a hero from Tier1 to Tier4 with nothing but non-matching heroes, this will be a significant time and resource investment that will prevent that player from working on other heroes. Combine that with the new Fortification feature and we’ve provided players with additional opportunities to strengthen their squads.
Certain other changes, such as advancing Tier1 heroes, were made to accommodate the new system. These were made for all players across the board. As such, we don’t have any compensation to apply.
The game is a live one and will be constantly evolving. A change that reduces the power or effectiveness of one part of the game can be overpowered in the next one. As the game matures, we’ll keep taking player feedback and incorporating it into updates. Our apologies that we weren’t able to assist you further in this case.
