Original caption: Starring behind the camera, Robert Redford, directing his first feature film, discusses a scene with Mary Tyler Moore during filming of Paramount Pictures' Ordinary People, a Wildwood Enterprises Production. The film is based on the best selling novel by Judith Guest. Redford purchased screen rights after reading galley proofs prior to publication. Mary plays the wife in an upper middle class family. Redford and Mary are discussing a scene in which she is to show that she is unable to cope emotionally after tragedy strikes her family. Redford does not appear in the film.
